INTRODUCTION
Background to the Problem
Media has open new dimensions in learning. Now, Education is no longer a constraint for anyone. Media has brought education to the doorstep of each and every individual. All forms of media: the newspaper, radio, television and the internet are equally important in impacting education. . Moreover, radio has now started to enter in the educational sector commonly known as community Radio System, which indirectly forms the part of e-learning process.
The importance of English has grown to such a magnitude in Nigeria and State is particular that diverse methods and techniques on effect of electronic media on pupils’ spoken English. It is also for this purpose that I tried to study, examine and assess some of the techniques adopted to improve, pupils spoken English in selected primary schools.
Electronic media, being one of the newest and improved technologies in instructions, have been chosen as a technique of concern to be explored in this project work. The pre-eminent position of spoken English and important role played by the electronic media in communication, sociology, information dissemination, religion, commerce, industry and education has led to a survey of the effect of electronic media on pupils’ spoken English n some selected primary schools
Statement of the Problem
The effect of electronic media on pupils’ spoken English in selected primary schools in ife east Local Government in osun State is the problem to be explored in this project work.
