THE EFFECTIVE USE OF INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS IN TEACHING AND LEARNING OF BIOLOGY IN SOME SELECTED PUBLIC SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN IKERE L0CAL GOVERNMENT OF EKITI STATE

Abstract

The importance of Instructional Materials in any teaching/learning process can not be over emphasized. This is for the fact that such materials enhance, facilitate and make teaching/learning easy, lively and concrete. It recommended that, Biology teachers need to select or improvise suitable Instructional materials or aids to facilitate teaching/learning and motivate their students. It finally offers some suggestions on how to make good use of Instru7ctional materials for a better teaching/learning of Islamic Studies in NigerianSchool. The theoretical frame work for this study was provided by the review of literature, which was also prepared to enable the researcher collect enough data in regards to the study. Information was sought through primary source. Such as questionnaires were used in data collection. The findings of the research work were presented in tabular form and analyzed using simple percentage.
